The Veranstaltungsforum Fürstenfeld (Fürstenfeld Event Forum) is one of the leading cultural event and conference centres in the South of Germany. Three multifunctional halls, the unique Fürstenfeld Tenne, seminar rooms, a choice of attractive outdoor spaces and a perfect infrastructure, is the ideal setting for our Contemplative Science Symposium. The former Cistercian monastery complex with its stately baroque grounds, historic buildings combined with modern architecture, first-rate culinary services and a stylish four-star hotel are offering an inspiring ambience for our symposium.

How to get there

  • By car: As a gateway between Munich and Augsburg, Fürstenfeldbruck enjoys excellent road links (A 8; A 96; B 2; B 471). Munich Airport is approximately 45 minutes away.
  • By suburban train (S-Bahn): from Munich Central Station, the line S4 (in direction "Geltendorf") provides a regular connection the venue (30 minutes away from the city center). The station ("Fürstenfeldbruck") is only ten minutes away by foot.
  • By bus: the bus line 815 stops right outside the venue ("Fürstenfeld").

Cloakroom: The cloakroom must be used for all public events which take place in one of the Säle (halls) at the Veranstaltungsforum. Visitors may not take in coats, jackets, umbrellas or bags. This measure is designed to prevent escape routes from becoming blocked or concealed. Free lockers are available (1€, in the gallery above the entrance foyer towards the Kleiner Saal).

There is a variety of hotels and B&B's in Fürstenfeldbruck. Moreover, it is an option to stay in Munich as the commute to Fürstenfeldbruck is easy via the suburban train called S-Bahn (see above).
